The responsibilities associated with this role may encompass the following:

  • Delivering fire protection engineering solutions for NAVFAC installations.
  • Executing fire safety assessments, risk evaluations, and hazard analyses.
  • Creating and reviewing fire protection designs, specifications, and schematics.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborating with various engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Conducting inspections and evaluations of fire protection systems.
This position is dependent on contract award, and multiple hires may be made from this listing.

Expected Salary Range: $112,000 - $136,000

Work Environment:
  • Moderate noise levels (e.g., business office with computers, phones, and printers) and/or occasional loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to remain seated at a computer terminal for extended periods.
Physical Demands:
  • While fulfilling the duties of this role, the employee is required to sit, stand, communicate, and listen.
  • Employees frequently need to sit and utilize their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:
  • 11-20% / Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
  • Proficiency in fire protection engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association codes and standards.
  • Capability to utilize fire modeling and simulation software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current, active secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience with the design and evaluation of fire protection systems in government or military facilities.
