Position Overview
As a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will engage with advanced technology to prepare specialized and intricate therapies within a controlled clean room setting. Your role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive their medications promptly and accurately. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists to deliver specialized infusion services directly to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and compounding of sterile pharmaceutical products.
- Maintaining compliance with cleanliness standards in the pharmacy clean room according to industry regulations.
- Documenting IV admixture processes and conducting sterility testing of the clean room environment.
- Assisting with order entry and refills under pharmacist supervision.
- Managing inventory and storage, ensuring proper documentation and restocking of supplies.
- Participating in on-call rotations as needed based on staffing requirements.
- Exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in Nevada.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in IV sterile compounding.
Education
A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
Compensation
The typical pay range for this position is $17.45 per hour. This range represents the base hourly rate for all roles within this job grade. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives.
