On-Site Waste Management Coordinator

Primary Objective
The individual will oversee On-Site Program Management by assessing, executing, and sustaining historical data, tracking waste generation, regulatory compliance, and coordinating all waste service schedules. This role encompasses multiple customer locations across the U.S., serving as a key liaison among all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize Health & Safety as the foremost objective by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring safe practices at all times.
- Conduct daily inspections of the site.
- Perform weekly RCRA compliance checks.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to enhance waste management strategies.
- Compile and maintain historical records, including hazardous waste manifest returns, land disposal documentation, and waste profiles.
- Prepare labeling and signage, and design accumulation area layouts.
- Monitor waste generation metrics and regulatory compliance at facilities.
- Coordinate pickup and service delivery schedules.
- Design accumulation area layouts.
- Oversee document tracking and generate annual/bi-annual waste reports for the Environmental Department.
- Manage subcontractors working on behalf of Heritage.
- Engage with supplier partners to explore disposal options, negotiate pricing, and review current approvals.
- Prepare monthly waste activity reports for clients upon request.

Education Requirements: For internal candidates, a four-year degree is required with a minimum of 2 years of experience at Heritage in a Customer Experience or Technical Role, evidenced by a consecutive score of 3 or greater on previous evaluations (minimum of 2 evaluation periods). Alternatively, a High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience in a Customer Experience or Technical role is acceptable.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of two years in the waste management industry is required, with five years preferred. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of relevant experience is necessary.
Knowledge and Skills: Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and superior communication and relationship-building abilities are essential. Capability to foster enduring relationships with clients and supplier partners, both in-person and remotely. Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions with minimal guidance. Proficiency in writing business proposals and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. A solid understanding of various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations, including 40 CFR 265, is necessary. Regular and predictable attendance is a fundamental aspect of this role.
A post-offer drug screening will be mandatory.
