Job Description

Prime Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Technical Accounting and Investments. This position is responsible for overseeing the research and conclusions for Prime's technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the research and development of position papers/policies on accounting and financial consequences of unique and significant transactions.
  • Oversee the drafting of position papers/policies on accounting and financial consequences of unique and significant transactions.
  • Review conclusions with the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and Controller, as well as with the Company's external auditors.
  • Manage the accounting and reporting associated with the Company's strategic investments, statutory regulatory entities, and Captive insurance.
  • Interact with departments across the organization and be visible to several members of the executive leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • CPA certification.
  • 8 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years of management/people leadership experience focusing on coaching and developing the team.
  • Ability to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidenced experience leading large teams.
  • 4 years of public accounting experience and experience leading an accounting department.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience, ideally in a high growth environment.
  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders, with an ability to influence for greater outcomes.
  • Proven ability and desire to build and lead an effective, high performing team.
  • PBM/Healthcare industry experience.
  • Statutory reporting and Captive insurance experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to Sr Director or Vice President in the Finance department.

Compensation:

Potential pay for this position ranges from $125,000.00 to $200,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
