Your Role:

We are seeking an MEP Project Supervisor to ensure the timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects that surpass client expectations. The immediate focus will be on projects within the Life Sciences sector, particularly in research and development environments. This role will necessitate daily on-site engagement during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the project manager to identify and resolve constructability issues or scope deficiencies during the preconstruction phase.
    • Engage in the development and final assessment of project scope, procurement, and scheduling.
    • Investigate, review, and address any requirements or procedures from owners, landlords, or local authorities to prevent project delays, ensure safety, and enhance client satisfaction.
    • Gain a thorough understanding of project strategies and commitments, including financial objectives, timelines, logistics, phases, milestones, and inspections.
    • Oversee daily site operations to guarantee safety, construction progress, quality control, and site cleanliness.
    • Facilitate the coordination process on-site, from meetings to actual installations.
    • Examine submittals, shop drawings, and other product data to confirm the correct materials are being utilized on-site.
    • Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural components to ensure functionality and aesthetic appeal.
    • Collaborate with the lead supervisor to ensure trades adhere to the overall project timeline.
    • Review construction documents for MEPFP constructability challenges.
    • Monitor the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
    • Coordinate procurement and other activities with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
    • Work collaboratively across disciplines, regions, and studios to facilitate the effective implementation of our Unispace 80/20 methodology.
    • Ensure alignment with Unispace's culture, values, and behaviors.
    • Manage health and safety protocols on-site.
    • Oversee punch list completion.
    • Collaborate with internal engineers regarding MEP management, quality assurance, and virtual design and construction.
    • Maintain onsite document control.
    • Establish and set up the site.
    • Implement the site risk management plan and escalate any risks or issues to the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager as necessary, while adhering to ethical practices.
    • Facilitate project closeout.
    • Support the execution of the Corporate Social Responsibility program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
    • Relevant construction experience.
    • Health and safety standards and certifications.
    • Understanding of construction sequencing.
    • Familiarity with building codes.
    • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
    • A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is advantageous.
    • Proven history of meeting deadlines.
    • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
    • Proficiency in technology related to construction.
    • Experience in Life Science, Pharma, or Healthcare projects is a plus.
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling and coordination processes is beneficial.
    • Experience with markup and editing PDFs using software like Bluebeam is a plus.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
    • Familiarity with project management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
    • Experience managing subcontractors.
  • Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Base Pay Range:

$185,000-$215,000 USD
