Position Overview

CFG has a full-time requirement for a Primary Care Physician. This is an excellent opportunity that offers a competitive salary and benefits. We are looking for physicians with backgrounds in corrections, emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or family medicine. The working hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the assigned facility punctually to assess referred patients.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of on-site chronic care clinics.
  • Collaborate with community medical providers to address service delivery issues.
  • Act as the primary care physician, coordinating both on-site and off-site care needs.
  • Supervise clinical services provided by professional and paraprofessional staff.
  • Conduct patient visits in the medical unit and document encounters using the SOAP format.
  • Ensure all verbal or telephone orders are countersigned within seventy-two hours.
  • Utilize in-house resources for treatment or problem resolution before considering off-site referrals.
  • Provide emergency care on-site and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
  • Maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Take responsibility for individual judgment and actions.
  • Follow standard precautions when performing invasive procedures or handling specimens.
  • Keep patient information confidential and respect privacy rights in accordance with accepted practices.
  • Adhere to the security regulations of the facility.
  • Possess a degree in medicine (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited institution.
  • Hold a valid medical license and be CDS certified.
  • Be willing to obtain a DEA-X certification within six weeks of hire.
