We are seeking a skilled Geochemical Modeling Research Scientist to enhance our research support team. This role is integral to our initiatives aimed at advancing carbon dioxide removal technologies and ensuring sustainable energy practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to explore and establish essential parameters for carbon mineralization pathways.
- Adapt and refine existing mass balance equations to align with specific carbon dioxide removal pathways.
- Develop comprehensive box models for field simulations, detailing carbon dioxide removal rate equations, including reaction and mass transport dynamics.
- Create tailored coding scripts for computational tools based on extensive literature review.
- Validate model outputs against field data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Research Dissemination:
- Present findings at relevant scientific conferences and publish results in esteemed peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in geology, geochemistry, chemistry, mathematics, applied computer science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a similar field with less than 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in geochemical modeling tools and advanced programming skills in Python, C++, or Matlab.
- Experience in solving partial differential equations and providing numerical solutions.

Preferred Skills:
- Background in software development, including user interface design and version control management using git.
- Familiarity with carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies.
- Evidence of prior research contributions through conference presentations or publications in peer-reviewed journals.

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Work Environment:
This position requires onsite collaboration with teams and may allow for some telework flexibility.
