The City of Murfreesboro is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at the Bradley Academy Museum. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the museum, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility, including restrooms, drinking fountains, and kitchen areas
  • Remove litter and waste paper from inside the building and surrounding grounds
  • Care for and water plants, and replace soap and paper products in dispensers
  • Sweep, mop, and wax floors and stairwells on a routine basis
  • Vacuum and clean carpets, and dust and polish furniture
  • Perform minor repairs to the facility and equipment as required
  • Monitor building and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Three (3) months of janitorial or custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in spoken and written English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Valid driver's license may be required for some positions
Working Conditions

This position requires a flexible schedule with evening, weekend, and holiday work required. The City of Murfreesboro is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
