Program Facilitator

This position is responsible for facilitating, managing, and providing activities that expand upon the content of the regular school day for elementary and middle school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the activities of other Extended School Program personnel and ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with applicable laws, procedures, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Record observational evidence of assigned students utilizing the Desired Results Developmental Profiles.
- Conduct parent conferences twice per year using the data from the Desired Results Developmental Profiles.
- Interact with students in ways that promote peer collaboration and expand student thinking and help to build life and career skills.
- Assist in the summary of the Desired Results Developmental Profile data on students, as well as create and implement annual action plans.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate activities designed to promote cognitive, physical, social-emotional development, and the well-being of up to 20 students at a time.
- Facilitate and direct the educational activities for assigned students; ensure that the students are signed in and out of the program each day upon arrival and departure, and report all student absences to the site supervisor.
- Answer questions and provide information, assistance, and instructions to assigned Extended School Program personnel relative to their activities and assignments; plan and lay out job duties as necessary; may serve as a peer trainer.
- Prepare expanded learning materials that support the academic content of the school day, promote physical fitness and creativity; provide assistance to students; create and maintain students' interests in age-appropriate activities and experiences.
- Supervise and engage with students in playground activities, ensuring compliance with playground safety standards.
- Maintain assigned work areas in a neat and orderly condition; clean up students, clothes, and facilities as necessary and attend to the personal needs of assigned students.
- Serve snacks and other meals, as appropriate; clean up serving area after meals.
- Ensure the health and safety of assigned students by following health and safety rules and regulations.
- Assume the responsibilities of the site supervisor in their absence.
- Establish student records for all assigned students, and record observations relative to their participation, behavior, and related matters; provide information to parents and/or legal guardians regarding their child's activities, including techniques used in working with individuals and small groups of students; participate in parent conferences and/or general parent orientations.
- Attend staff meetings, conferences, and in-service training programs as directed.
- Perform clerical duties, as assigned.
- Provide CPR, first-aid, and care for ill or injured students as necessary.
- Assist in setting-up, organizing, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
- Provide a clear TB test.
- Must be certified in First Aid and CPR within 30 days of employment.
Monday to Friday: 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm (5 hours with a 30-minute break)
