Maintenance Craftsman Sr.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Craftsman Sr. to join our team at the State of Idaho. As a key member of our Facilities Services Team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our state-owned facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
- Respond to tenant needs and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist journeyman electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians as needed
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment associated with carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, and electrical work
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Good knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Typically gained through completion of formal training or at least two years of professional full-time work experience
- Some knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems maintenance
- Typically gained by at least six months of professional full-time work experience or supervised apprenticeship experience
- Experience performing skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance repair
- Typically met by at least one year of professional full-time work experience
This position requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and move in and around confined spaces. A valid driver's license is required.
