Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting sales floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Accurately and efficiently operate the register, handling customer transactions with precision and speed.
- Approve refunds for other associates up to a specified dollar amount, ensuring seamless customer service.
- Assist with training new sales associates, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Stay up-to-date on all promotions and advertisements, enabling you to answer customer questions and drive sales.
- Maintain a neat and organized front-end work area, ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment.
- Assist with receiving the truck, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store, contributing to a well-stocked and visually appealing store.
- Communicate customer needs to team leaders when necessary, fostering a collaborative and customer-centric approach.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of six months retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and preserve confidentiality of information.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and activities.
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes, with outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers and associates.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend and twist frequently, grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, and squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally.
