About the Role:

Civil Drafter/Designer will draft civil engineering designs for roadways, site improvements, water and sewage mains, drainage, and land grading for commercial and residential building sites.

The Civil Designer ensures drawings and designs are completed on time and adhere to established specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates conceptual plans and detailed, permit-ready drawings from verbal guidance.
  • Ability to transcribe and accurately read "as-built" drawings, engineering, architectural, and shop drawings.
  • Possesses excellent computer skills to work with multiple types of design software.
  • You develop cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements.
  • Follows established design guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate design files for reference purposes.
  • You manage design projects within allotted timelines and budgets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Associate degree in drafting technology, computer-aided design or equivalent experience.
  • You are building on 3+ years of successful design experience within Civil Engineering.
  • You have strong technical skills and experience using either Autodesk Civil 3D, or other related Civil Design programs.
  • You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.
