Anticipated Secondary ELA Teacher

As an Anticipated Secondary ELA Teacher with the Alabama State Department of Education, you will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth in students. You will establish effective relationships with students, motivate them to develop essential skills, attitudes, and knowledge, and provide a solid foundation for becoming responsible citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs and capabilities of students
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, system policy, and administrative regulations
Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and provide feedback
Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; A valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate in English/Language Arts; Must meet Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements Within the designated timeframe; Such above qualifications as the Board may require.
