Role Summary:

The HVAC Technician 2 exemplifies professionalism through effective communication and a polished appearance, delivering outstanding service to our clientele. This position involves the transportation of portable HVAC equipment, showcasing expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all company assets. Additionally, responsibilities include equipment check-ins, repairs, and general shop tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engages professionally with customers, management, and sales teams to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and service requests.
  • Delivers and installs HVAC rental equipment; instructs authorized users on safe operational practices.
  • Ensures customers complete necessary documentation and accurately tracks equipment serial numbers.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting and comprehending the operational aspects of rental equipment.
  • Operates company vehicles in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Conducts cleaning and testing of returned equipment to maintain high operational and aesthetic standards.
  • Completes required documentation for all deliveries, pickups, and service engagements.
  • Installs flexible gas hoses for both propane and natural gas applications.
  • Implements safe procedures for checking gas connections.
  • Collaborates with management and sales teams to maintain precise records of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Available for emergency service calls on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends during peak periods is necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various Climate Control equipment while adhering to safety standards.
  • HVAC certification is preferred, indicating formal training and the legal ability to work on refrigeration systems.
