About the Role

Schumacher Auto Group is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Estimator to join our team in West Palm Beach. As a key member of our collision center, you will be responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine the cost of repairs for insurance claim settlements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine damaged vehicles to assess the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
  • Estimate the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
  • Review repair cost estimates with body shop technicians.
  • Determine the feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
  • Evaluate the practicality of repair versus payment of vehicle market value before the accident with customers and insurance carriers.
  • Determine the salvage value on total vehicle loss.
  • Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
  • Estimate the cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
  • Keep customers informed and up-to-date during the repair process.
  • Experience with using CCC One estimating systems is a plus.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator.
  • 3+ years' knowledge of collision repair processes.
  • I-CAR certification is strongly preferred.
  • A professional with the ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to support relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Availability to work weekdays and some Saturdays.
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude.
  • Valid FL driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Must submit to and pass a background and drug screen.
