We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo as a Nurse Care Coordinator.

About the Role

As a Nurse Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating total nursing care for patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating their needs. You will also participate in patient and family teaching, providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background and must be currently licensed in New York State. They will also need to graduate from an accredited school of nursing and take and pass the New York state licensing boards within four months of hire. Additionally, they will require BLS validation and revalidation in accordance with AHA standards, as well as ACLS validation within six months of hire and revalidation in accordance with AHA standards.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be responsible for instructing employees, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and maintaining efficiency of staff assigned to them.

Working Conditions

The Nurse Care Coordinator will be required to have good mental and physical health, with the ability to cope with stress and handle multiple priorities. They may also be exposed to communicable diseases.

Estimated Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits.
