We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Safety Director to join our team at the French-American Chamber of Commerce. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and implementation of our safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable safety leadership and management systems across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and serve as the subject matter expert for safety aspects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and security policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the investigation of accidents and incidents, and recommend improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting drills and training exercises to prepare staff for emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety laws.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Supervise and manage a team of safety professionals to protect the safety of employees and assets.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's in Operations, Logistics, Business Management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing, logistics, or food industry managing 100+ non-exempt level employees.
  • Ability to work outdoors and varying temperatures and environments.
  • Must have a valid active Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass all required airport security clearance.
