Job Title: Automation Technician

IMS People is seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment to support IMS manufacturing operations
  • Communicate relevant equipment status to associated manufacturing line leads and supervisors
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine corrective actions and communicate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues
  • Complete assigned and ad-hoc work orders in IMS's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Transact parts within IMS's CMMS to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Participate in process reviews for products as required
  • Engage in problem solving & brainstorming, both individually and as part of the IMS team
  • Follow IMS's Environmental Health and Safety guidelines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate
  • Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician working with complex equipment
  • Experience working with automated assembly equipment is preferred
  • Experience working with high volume automated systems is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Troubleshooting background desired;
  • Basic computer skills
  • Positive and can do attitude and willingness to expand your professional knowledge
