Position Overview:

As a Class A Yard Truck Driver with Penske Logistics, you will play a crucial role in our operations.

Immediate Openings: Full-time Class A Yard Drivers
  • $10,000 retention bonus available
  • Compensation of $21.71 per hour with overtime after 40 hours
  • Shift differential pay offered
  • Annual safety and attendance bonus of $3,200
  • Local routes, home daily
Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently move trailers in and out of the dock as instructed by management
  • Couple and uncouple trailers as needed
  • Chock trailers for loading and unloading, and pull from designated doors
  • Shuttle trailers for various customers
Work Schedule:
  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Evening start times

  • Operate late-model trucks from Penske Truck Leasing

Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A license required
  • Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations
  • Regular attendance is essential for this role
  • Must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background check and drug screening
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation, requiring constant alertness and safety compliance.
Physical Requirements:
The physical and mental demands of this position include:
  • Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements including close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
  • Regular use of hands for handling and reaching
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle.
