Job Overview

We are seeking a Medical Care Professional to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, including assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Medical Assistant and a current BLS/CPR certification. Fluency with medical terminology is also required.

Job Responsibilities

The Medical Care Professional will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
  2. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and performing venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician
  3. Documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines
  4. Preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients
  5. Assisting in covering the front desk as required
  6. Participating in decision-making and process improvement
  7. Ensuring that patient rooms, nursing station, and storage rooms are kept stocked, clean, and managed
  8. Distributing referrals as necessary to physicians and insurance companies
  9. Pre-authorizing prescriptions and clinical tests
  10. Scheduling Diagnostic Imaging studies, BMDs, dietician appointments, cardiology testing, and radiology testing for patients

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
