Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate social events, activities, and programs that promote community engagement and resident satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, and schedule qualified instructors and vendors to provide a variety of social, educational, and fitness classes.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including activity schedules, participant lists, and financial transactions.
  • Work closely with the Community General Manager to develop and manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in social or recreational programming.
  • Effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under stress and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate ongoing activity programs, including ordering and maintaining necessary supplies and working within a budget.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate resident needs and event schedules.
Work Environment:

The Activities Director will work in a fast-paced environment, often independently, to set up events and activities. The physical demands of the job include occasional lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Travel:

Travel will be required to purchase or rent equipment and items for events, as well as to attend meetings and conferences. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for this position.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position is required. A degree in a related field, such as recreation or hospitality, is preferred.
