POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Lead Client Relationship Manager is dedicated to specific clientele to guarantee satisfaction and foster profitable growth across various MRPC manufacturing locations. This role requires maintaining robust relationships with designated client accounts through the management of ongoing business and the pursuit of new opportunities to ensure the long-term viability of the accounts. The Lead Client Relationship Manager will serve as the ?Voice of the Client? to effectively communicate and facilitate solutions that support MRPC's business expansion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be expanded as deemed necessary by management. Take a pivotal role in crafting and implementing MRPC's account management and growth strategy.
Act as the primary contact responsible for overseeing and delivering all internal and external client initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure all critical tasks related to assigned accounts are completed punctually and within budget (this necessitates close cooperation with and oversight of other internal teams and direct management).
Business Development Duties Include:
Within the assigned client base, this position is tasked with securing new business through various initiatives by supporting the business development team.
Cultivating strong personal and professional relationships with key stakeholders within the client's organization, including senior managers, procurement officers, plant managers, quality assurance teams, etc.Organizing and facilitating all client visits to MRPC facilities or MRPC visits to client locations (this includes coordinating with all internal teams to prepare requested information in a professionally presented format).
Regular travel to client sites to address needs, gauge current satisfaction levels, and identify new business opportunities.
Commercial Responsibilities Include:
Working with the client and MRPC's North American teams (customer service, business development, and senior management) to finalize short and long-term budgeting and forecasting for assigned accounts.
Managing or overseeing the implementation of pricing adjustments and terms and conditions on a predetermined schedule (these updates may be attributed to changes in raw material costs, labor standards, distribution, and market conditions).
Monitoring expected yields and margins (daily, monthly, yearly) to ensure MRPC meets or exceeds internal profitability targets.
If performance does not meet expectations, the Lead Client Relationship Manager must alert the broader internal team to identify root causes.
In instances where discrepancies arise between a program's quoted margin and the actual results from manufacturing (cycle times, higher scrap percentages, lower minimum order quantities, etc.), the Lead Client Relationship Manager will collaborate with MRPC's operations teams to understand the causes of variances and negotiate a mutually acceptable resolution.
If assistance from senior management is required, the Lead Client Relationship Manager must escalate the issue to obtain necessary support.Quoting - collaborating with multiple cross-functional departments (quoting team, business development, tooling, automation, operations, etc.) to initiate and complete quotes in a timely manner.
Lead internal pricing discussions and provide recommendations to management to secure internal support and approval for new business proposals.Responsible for submitting final proposals punctually and in a professional format directly to the client.
Presenting proposals and supporting client negotiations for program awards.
Responsible for consistent follow-up on pending quotes to facilitate eventual awards or rejections.
Responsible for understanding and overseeing specific terms and conditions and/or standards of work within assigned contracts/clients and communicating essential expectations and obligations to internal teams.
Communication Responsibilities Include:
Serving as the primary escalation point (both externally and internally) for conflict resolution related to manufacturing, distribution/logistics, and commercial issues and/or negotiations.
Acting as the primary liaison between senior management teams internally and with clients.Internally updating management teams on account and program status, forecasts, sales budgets, etc.
Externally managing client communications - newsletters, dashboards, quarterly business reviews (QBR), etc.
Facilitating and leading project kick-off meetings where schedules, action items, etc. are communicated and assigned.
Participating in internal and client meetings and contributing to decision-making and problem-solving.
Consistently updating and maintaining client information, activities, and action items in Salesforce.
Personal Development:
Engaging in continuous personal development to enhance technical, sales, and interpersonal skills, as well as industry-related knowledge (new technologies, competitive updates, new clients, trends, etc.).
Managing and interpreting all new business and associate knowledge to achieve organizational objectives.
Other duties and projects as required.
