Qualifications and Skills Required
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Clinical Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- An active professional certification or license recognized by the state of Kentucky for counseling individuals with Substance Use Disorder, such as CADC, LCADC, LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, AMFT, or LMFT.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative and management capacities, with a solid understanding of Performance Improvement and Standards.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with management and counseling teams.
- Self-motivated with a focus on Continuous Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement and the capability to guide organizational strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care services, including assessments, diagnoses, and documentation necessary for care placement.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with established guidelines such as those from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
- Advocate for necessary services and manage appeals with third-party payers effectively.
- Promote clear communication among staff and collaborate with program administration.
- Conduct professional development and training sessions while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Establish and oversee a clinical organizational framework, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to policies.
- Assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions within the treatment environment.
