Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Hoar Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Coordinate with site superintendents to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns, including ordering and collecting necessary parts.
  • Evaluate repair options and estimate costs to determine the most cost-effective solution.
  • Develop and maintain service schedules and records, including tracking parts costs and labor hours.
  • Order and warehouse parts and preventive maintenance items to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in electrical tooling, gasoline/diesel powered equipment, and mechanical repair.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR with clean driving history.
Physical Demands and Working Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to construction sites and exposure to various weather conditions. The successful candidate will be able to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and tools, and will have excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
