We are seeking a part-time janitorial worker to join our team at The Pennsylvania State University. As a janitorial worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our student housing apartments and facilities.
Responsibilities:- Clean and prepare student housing apartments for occupancy
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors
- Operate power equipment, such as scrubbers and polishers
- Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Provide custodial services for special events and tenants
- Maintain grounds and lawns, including mowing, raking, and trimming
- Assist with maintenance work as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
