Key Responsibilities- Develop creative solutions using design and simulation tools, rapid prototyping, and data logging and analysis.
- Design textile assembly production equipment from components to complete assembly lines.
- Create documentation for prototype and production equipment design criteria and engineering justification.
- Develop fabrication drawings and BOMs for prototype and production assembly equipment.
- Troubleshoot prototype and production assembly equipment for reliability, quality, and throughput issues.
- Collaborate with other mechanical engineers to grow team technical knowledge and skills.
- Work with other engineering disciplines, technicians, and administrative personnel to achieve product and project goals.
- 3+ years of 3D CAD modeling experience (SOLIDWORKS preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation (high-speed assembly machine design preferred).
- Experience converting ideas into practical solutions that meet business needs.
- Experience working with industrial-grade automation components.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience supporting project planning, budgeting, and task delegation.
- Machining or fabrication experience.
- PLC programming experience (TwinCAT, Codesys, etc.).
- Robot arm programming experience (Fanuc, Epson, etc.).
- Machine vision experience.
- Open-mindedness to seek deep understanding of technical problems and share knowledge with team members.
- Experience with handling anisotropic materials.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
