Job Summary

The Nurse Extern General Surgery PRN delivers high-quality patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Nurse Extern assists the nursing staff in providing patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the patient care team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services
  • Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care, including activities of daily living
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
  • Support the patient care team in achieving high-quality patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing
  • Preferred experience in an acute care setting
  • Current listing with Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I
  • BLS certification
