Job Overview

Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist. This role will involve performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities.

At Spang Engineered Solutions, we specialize in designing and manufacturing custom inductive components for various industries. Our manufacturing facilities are located in multiple regions, including the U.S.A. and China.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the condition of the building and surrounding areas, ensuring cleanliness and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain the dock area and ensure proper upkeep of dock doors.
  • Identify and report any significant repair needs or security issues to management.
  • Conduct minor repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and carpentry, as well as perform painting duties as required.
  • Assist with furniture relocation and manage the receipt of deliveries.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures for electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility.
  • Coordinate necessary permits and inspections, including fire and safety drills.
  • Act as the liaison for third-party service providers, including cleaning services and property management.
  • Manage recycling and waste disposal processes, including hazardous materials.
  • Maintain equipment manuals and lead safety inspections.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in general maintenance.
