About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Air & Missile Defense Software Department, you will play a critical role in the development of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of software solutions.
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
  • Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in developing software using object-oriented C/C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience designing and developing real-time embedded software.
  • Experience with Network Communication Protocols, Shell Scripting, software development tools, and using embedded RTOSs.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle, and processes.
