- Prescription Preparation and Shipping: Prepare prescription medications for shipping, adhering to strict packaging and labeling standards.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document compounding activities accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining a clear and concise record of all transactions.
- Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to strict cleanliness and safety standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registration and Certification: Must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the state of Nebraska and obtain certification through a board-approved state or national pharmacy technician certification program within one year of registration.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of prescriptions, medications, and pharmacy procedures/best practices. Proficient in using a computer and various software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey a professional demeanor when engaging with patients, protecting privacy and confidentiality.
- Preferred Qualifications: Clean room experience preferred. One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a licensed pharmacy or experience in a healthcare field. Current State of Nebraska Pharmacy Technician Registration and proof of completion of a board-approved state or national pharmacy technician certification program.
