Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing compassionate and effective treatment for mental health disorders and substance use.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, treat, and diagnose clients with mental health disorders or dual diagnoses
- Schedule or assist with scheduling clinical and support staff to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts
- Continue special training in areas designated by the Supervisor
- Keep records of bio-psycho-history, assessments, evaluations, and client case records
- Attend and participate in special events, such as retreats, trips, workshops, etc.
- Be a role model for pro-social behaviors
- Be available for weekend and/or evening duty
- Be responsible for a full client caseload and act as a lead counselor
- Attend all staff meetings and attend functions and/or meetings when the Supervisor is not available
- Support and demonstrate adherence to Gaudenzia's Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and all personnel policies and procedures
- Be responsible for re-entry residents or others needing advanced care
- Maintain a valid driver's license and appropriate professional certificates and credentials
- Be responsible for orientation of new staff members when the Supervisor is not available
- Moderate special groups, such as marathons, extended groups, family meetings, workshops, or presentations
Gaudenzia offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, dental insurance, short-term disability insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, vision insurance, and various supplemental benefits. QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess a Master's Degree and an independent license to practice, such as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCADC, LGADC, LGPC, LCADC, or LCPC. You must also be able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and effective treatment for mental health disorders and substance use.
