Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in North Charleston, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operations and personnel of a shift, ensuring business objectives and labor requirements are met, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workflow, including work analysis, planning, and scheduling, productivity tracking, and optimization;
  • Ensure all warranty policies and procedures are executed;
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for assigned personnel;
  • Maintain customer relationships and resolve issues promptly;
  • Directly supervise technicians, customer service coordinators, and other staff members;
  • Conduct yard checks to ensure proper work scheduling and prioritization;
  • Manage shop floor activities to ensure root cause diagnosis by technicians and optimal yield on parts/components;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Assurance Audit Corrective Action plans and Continuous Improvement programs;
  • Ensure compliance with safety and EPA regulations and requirements;
  • Manage the customer bill back process and identify, review, and approve bill back opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment;
  • Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement;
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or additional experience;
  • Supervisory experience preferred;
  • Experience with a Shop Management System preferred;
  • Microsoft Office intermediate skills preferred;
  • Strong vehicle diagnostics and repair knowledge (preferred).
