RN - Acute Care IRP (FTIT) Medical/Surgical Night Shift

As a Registered Nurse in our Acute Care Inpatient Unit, you will provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care, fostering a patient-centered approach. You will demonstrate clinical competency by utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collects data and completes nursing assessments using appropriate area and/or age-specific standards/policies and tools.
- Develops individual plans of care based on the age and assessed needs of the patient, in collaboration with the patient and/or family, physician, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provides direct care to assigned patients consistent with the established nursing plan, performing specific tasks based on organizational, departmental, and/or unit policies and procedures within the RN scope of practice.
- Monitors quality of care delivered on a continual basis, ensuring appropriate surveillance of assigned patients and incorporating cost containment principles into nursing care.
- Evaluates plan of care for effectiveness, documents progress toward expected outcomes, and revises plan of care as needed, reporting changes in patient condition and referring unresolved problems to appropriate healthcare team members.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- One year experience as a registered nurse; successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency from another organization may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
This is a night shift position, requiring regional travel across all Prisma Health sites. The acute inpatient setting may require staff to be scheduled for weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
