Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technician to join our dedicated team. This role involves conducting polysomnographic assessments and providing support to patients throughout the testing process.

Key Responsibilities
As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing patients for polysomnographic testing, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure.
  2. Conducting tests in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  3. Documenting patient responses and actions taken during the testing process.
  4. Providing patients with clear discharge instructions upon completion of tests.
  5. Maintaining the testing environment and ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
  6. Assisting in the training and orientation of new staff members.
  7. Participating in ongoing education and training opportunities.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  1. A diploma or degree in Polysomnography from an accredited institution.
  2. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or equivalent experience.
  3. A valid Tennessee State License as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a sleep center, requiring the ability to communicate effectively in English and to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
