Job Title: Director of Software Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Software Engineering to lead our Salesforce initiatives and drive innovation in customer relationship management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring the effectiveness, scalability, and alignment of Salesforce solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and performance, while aligning with industry best practices and architectural standards.
  • Lead the implementation and customization of Salesforce applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CRM Analytics, and Marketing Cloud, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements, providing strategic guidance on Salesforce architecture and design decisions.
  • Customize and configure Salesforce to meet the organization's unique needs, developing custom objects, fields, workflows, and reports while adhering to architectural principles.
  • Oversee data management within Salesforce, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security through robust data modeling, migration, cleansing, and maintenance processes.
  • Optimize Salesforce performance through continuous monitoring, tuning, and scalability enhancements, leveraging expertise in Salesforce platform features and capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Salesforce development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in architecture and design.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer service, and IT, to align CRM initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with Salesforce vendors and partners, evaluating new products and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendor performance.
  • Responsible for budget management related to Salesforce initiatives, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI.
  • Implement resource capacity management and forecasting processes to ensure optimal utilization of team members and alignment with project timelines and priorities.
  • Stay abreast of Salesforce updates, best practices, and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation in CRM architecture and design.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of leading successful Salesforce implementations and customizations, demonstrating expertise in architectural principles and best practices.
  • Deep technical expertise in Salesforce platform features and capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and integration patterns, with experience in designing scalable and secure solutions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in CRM architecture and design.
  • Experience with managing teams across multiple geographies.
