Job Title: LPN/LVN (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) II)

Covenant Learning Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LPN/LVN to join our team. As a key member of our health and wellness department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our students.

Job Summary:

The LPN/LVN will work closely with our nursing staff to provide health and wellness services to students. This includes conducting physical and emotional wellness assessments, developing and implementing wellness care plans, and providing counseling and training to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working with disadvantaged youth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing services within the scope of practice for state-specific nurse Practice Act.
  • Perform physical and emotional wellness assessments during walk-in periods.
  • Develop and implement wellness care plans that address students' needs.
  • Assist in conducting cursory exams for all new students.
  • Review laboratory results and flag abnormal results for review by the center Physician.
  • Follow protocol for infection control and ensure the appropriate handling of specimens and equipment.
  • Document each encounter with students in their health records.
  • Promote the wellness concept and provide counseling/training to students.
  • Attend required staff training sessions.
  • Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, and adhere to safety practices.
Requirements:
  • State Licensed Vocational Nurse's License/Licensed Practical Nurse's License and one year's experience as a practicing LVN/LPN.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state where center is located.
  • Prefer two or more years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
