Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement and maintain effective quality control processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with process and cross-functional teams to integrate essential quality tools across the organization, including PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, and 6-Sigma methodologies.
  • Evaluate quality metrics such as scrap rates and rework, and partner with the core plant team to drive corrective actions.
  • Assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions to address quality challenges.
  • Develop and execute quality procedures and participate in internal audits as part of the quality assurance team.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing process and product quality in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Incorporate quality considerations into product and process development for both new and existing offerings.
  • Review and propose new inspection techniques and equipment to ensure precise measurement of product specifications.
  • Assist in creating FMEAs, qualification plans, control plans, and sampling procedures.
  • Maintain AQP documentation in accordance with process improvement and corrective action initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing teams in developing job instructions and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, AS9100, ISO 13485, and applicable government regulations.
  • Utilize problem-solving techniques (such as 8D reports and root cause analysis) to implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Participate in APQP activities and support new product launches, including the review and approval of PPAP documentation.
  • Conduct internal and external audits and manage follow-up actions.
  • Interpret technical drawings and dimensional specifications, select appropriate measuring instruments, and perform necessary measurements.
  • Carry out additional related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience in a low to medium volume manufacturing setting, with expertise in areas such as CNC machining, welding, assembly, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in core quality tools, including 8D, root cause analysis, and 5 Whys.
  • Strong communication skills for developing quality documentation.
  • Understanding of FMEA, Control Plans, and GD&T.
  • Skilled in inspection methodologies using various gauges.
