Job Title: Head of Finance and IT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned finance and IT professional to lead our portfolio company's financial activities and IT department. As the Head of Finance and IT, you will oversee the financial operations, manage accounting teams, and lead the IT department in implementing and maintaining cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Manage month and year-end closings, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, daily cash flow tasks, general ledger, budgeting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital asset reconciliations, inventory, check runs, tax compliance, fixed asset activity, debt activity, etc.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports and statements, and ensure GAAP financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Manage and apply cash, collections of AR, and establish and maintain all banking relationships.
  • Provide essential planning, analysis, and insights to the business through Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

IT:

  • Lead and assist in the development, implementation, and analysis of features spanning a full web-based distributed cloud application stack.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests, ensure team monitors, debugs, and troubleshoots complex issues to resolve defects and reduce technical debt.
  • Oversee the identification, implementation, and maintenance of an ERP/MRP system.
  • Ensure proper systems processes that meet all legal privacy and security requirements.

HR Support:

  • Ensure payroll processing for over 100 employees on a bi-weekly basis with HR team.
  • Strategic and financial support of 401(k) plan in conjunction with HR team.
  • Support HR department, outside benefits and insurance brokers so that adequate policies are in place.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance, an MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of overall experience in accounting, and a minimum five at the controller+ level.
  • Manufacturing company experience required.
  • Private Equity portfolio company experience is preferred.
  • Experience with chart of accounts, payroll services, bank services, and healthcare benefit services.
  • Advanced skills with QuickBooks preferred.
  • Must have Excel expertise, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience with implementation and management of ERP systems and various interface development requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience supervising staff.
