Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled Hand Therapist to join our team in our Center City Philadelphia office. This position will require occasional travel to our Northeast Philadelphia office.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
Job SummaryThe Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric orthopedic population.
Essential Duties- Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
- Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting of patients.
- Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
- Evaluates patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
- Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
- Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
- Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds, and research.
- Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Master's degree and successful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required
Valid state licensure and CPR certification required
Nationally Certified CHT preferred; OT/PT with hand experience actively working toward CHT will be considered
Five years experience required
Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office required
