JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma. Associates Degree or relevant experience. Valid driver's license with no violations; Proven experience working with school-aged children and their families. Skilled in fostering relationships between educational institutions and the broader community;
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivates positive relationships among parents, educational staff, and community organizations to boost student performance, enhance attendance, and foster student accountability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a bridge between families and educational institutions to ensure successful student support.
- Facilitate communication among students, support networks, parents, and others to address student challenges.
- Design, organize, and execute programs for parents and the community aimed at providing tailored services to promote student success.
- Engage directly with parents of students facing attendance issues.
- Conduct home visits as necessary.
- Collaborate with administrative personnel and Title I Facilitators to create strategies that enhance student achievement.
- Coordinate and/or lead workshops at local schools on topics that meet the needs and interests of parents and the community.
- Facilitate the involvement of parent/community leadership groups to develop programs, training workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
- Support administrative staff and Title I Facilitators by monitoring and reporting on attendance, academic performance, and behavioral progress of students, implementing intervention strategies as required.
- Assist educators in formulating and executing strategies to enhance the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
- Assess and evaluate program effectiveness through data collection, including surveys and student performance metrics.
- Establish school-based partnerships with various community organizations, including social services, religious institutions, community centers, and businesses.
- Maintain open lines of communication with school administration and instructional staff to identify the need for parent outreach.
- Assist parents and staff in addressing concerns raised by parents, teachers, and/or administrators. Provide ongoing support for parents to discuss various student achievement matters and identify non-educational resources.
Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality regarding student information within the educational environment and community.
Foster effective relationships with school personnel, students, and the general public.
Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
