Job Summary
The University of San Francisco is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemistry Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Chemistry Teaching Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the instruction and learning of our students in the Chemistry department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the instruction of chemistry laboratory courses, including preparation of laboratory materials, demonstrations, and supervision of students during laboratory sessions.
- Lead weekly group meetings with the course professor to discuss student progress, address questions, and provide additional support as needed.
- Grade assignments and exams, and provide feedback to students.
- Hold office hours to meet with students and provide individual support.
Requirements
- Full-time enrollment in the M.S. in Chemistry program at the University of San Francisco.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay rate of $19.67 for graduate students.
