We are seeking a highly skilled Product Evaluation Engineer to join our team at Kuhn North America, Inc. This role will be responsible for evaluating the performance of our products, including Kuhn Knight and Kuhn products, and providing accurate and usable reports in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, adjust, and operate test equipment to evaluate product performance using prepared test plans.
- Document test results and significant findings for development of product testing parameters, evaluation procedures, and timelines.
- Investigate and test solutions to improve current products and document field fix instructions.
- Assist design engineers in implementing new designs, design changes, and design upgrades based on test group information.
- Test or solicit performance information on competitive equipment and document results for engineering and sales and marketing personnel.
- Coordinate testing activities with customer locations, considering customer needs and collaborating with customer service and manufacturing departments.
- Participate in the product evaluation team process to continually improve the quality of testing and product development processes.
- Bachelor's degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing, and hay tool technology.
- Knowledge and experience in farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding.
