Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients as outlined by state/federal regulations.
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with SDMC Medical Imaging protocols.
  • Explain procedures to patients prior to exam.
  • Ensure availability of physician for procedures requiring the administration of medications and supervision.
  • Perform duties to maintain department functions such as QC checks.
  • Adhere to policies related to Standard Precautions, Infection Control, and Radiation Safety guidelines as described by TDHS and Joint Commission.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an approved Joint Review Committee on Education Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent.
  • Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMTB) or Certified in nuclear medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N) or Board eligible to take the CNMT or ARRT (N) examinations within 24 months.
