Adjunct Faculty Opportunity in Counseling Psychology

California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to contribute to our Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MA-CP) Program. As a part of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and vision by teaching specialized courses with students from 5 program concentrations including Integral Counseling Psychology, Community Mental Health, Drama Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Somatic Psychology.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core courses that align with our values of offering Specialized Training, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Integral Education, and Social Responsibility.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum that prepares students for licensure as LMFT and/or LPCC in California.
Requirements
- Clinical License: While a current, relevant clinical license is preferred, it is not required. We welcome applications from pre-licensed individuals who are committed to our mission and values.
- Experience: At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, but not mandatory. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are open to considering candidates with varying levels of clinical and professional experience.
- Education: A MA degree in Counseling Psychology or a closely related field is required. Advanced degrees or additional certifications are advantageous and will be considered favorably.

Additional Information
- Location: Most courses are taught in-person on campus but we do have several online/asynchronous sections.
- Restrictions: Due to state authorization regulations CIIS cannot currently consider faculty applicants who reside in Kentucky, Idaho, Iowa, Rhode Island, Tennessee, or the District of Columbia.
- Working Conditions: Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday.
