About the Role:We are looking for a motivated and achievement-oriented individual to take ownership of the structural design on projects and be accountable for the delivery of the project structural team. As a Structural Engineer, you will assist in developing scopes of work and level of effort estimates for structural project work, provide structural engineering design for tanks, basins, and building facilities at water and wastewater treatment plants, and design concrete, steel, and masonry structures per CBC.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop scopes of work and level of effort estimates for structural project work
- Provide structural engineering design for tanks, basins, and building facilities at water and wastewater treatment plants
- Design concrete, steel, and masonry structures per CBC
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Prepare detailed design sketches and coordinate with designer staff to prepare BIM models and design drawings
- Prepare construction specifications
- Coordinate structural project work with architects and process, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff
- Provide construction administration support, including submittal review, RFI responses, and structural observations
- Comprehensive knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry structural design per CBC and referenced standards
- Experience with treatment plants, ports, and heavy civil/structural projects preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design required
- Structural design experience with wastewater treatment plant or industrial facilities preferred; commercial design experience is a plus
- B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in Civil Engineering (structural course work emphasis)
- PE license required or able to get within 6 months
- Effective oral and written communication essential
