About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planner to join our team at Kohler Co. in Casa Grande, AZ. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for scheduling finished goods, sub-assemblies, and components to ensure timely delivery and meet customer service expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create production schedules to support customer service and optimize delivery times
  • Manage production orders from start to finish, including releasing, sequencing, changes, and shortages
  • Coordinate production changes with Materials, Purchasing, and Manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless execution
  • Work closely with internal associates to coordinate and execute production, ensuring on-time delivery of materials
  • Maintain and control SAP master data for Production Scheduling functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain stores for on-time delivery of materials under pull systems to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities
  • Build trust by working in partnership with manufacturing, suppliers, and buyers to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities
  • Focus on the end customer by improving business and supply chain processes to drive continuous improvements
  • Drive continuous improvements for smaller, more frequent deliveries, just-in-time to meet customer needs
  • Set high standards of performance by measuring and reducing inventory to increase turns
  • Participate in annual physical inventory as directed by the Manager - Warehouse & Logistics
  • Perform assignments as directed by the Manager - Warehouse & Logistics
  • Participate in safety training and accident prevention to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 1-3 years working in a materials planning and scheduling role in a manufacturing or purchasing environment
  • Previous SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in inventory management, ERP/MRP, and KanBan systems preferred
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement, mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in use of all common computer Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
