Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment used in the manufacturing of Gas Springs at Stabilus' U.S. Headquarters in Gastonia, NC. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills, a thorough knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and electronics, including PLC's and control circuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and respond to repair work orders for all department equipment.
  • Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs to maintain production equipment to defined specifications.
  • Support and perform preventative maintenance on assembly equipment.
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and electrical codes.
  • Troubleshoot problems by evaluating machine sequences and fixing improper operation or lack of machine operation.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in electronics, mechanical, or military equivalent.
  • Two to five years of experience in electronics, mechanical, or military fields.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Thorough knowledge and ability regarding the use of hand tools used in an industrial production facility.
  • Blueprint interpreting and schematic reading combined with the ability to use measuring tools.

Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a highly automated and fast-paced production facility with a 12-hour shift schedule on the p.m. shift. The position requires flexibility to accommodate changes in the schedule based on company needs.
