Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our mission-critical team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on large-scale design projects (10+ years). While mission-critical experience is highly desirable, candidates with higher education, advanced manufacturing, or healthcare experience are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will design mechanical systems, including heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, hydronics, steam, plumbing, gas, and compressed-air utilities. They will also possess a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, advising other design team members as needed.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing mechanical systems to meet the needs of commercial and industrial buildings
  • Developing mechanical construction documentation and BIM models using Revit MEP or similar CAD packages
  • Supervising the installation of designed systems and equipment
  • Preparing cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses
  • Managing the mechanical engineering of small projects
  • Overseeing the production of design documents by graduate engineers
  • Balancing workload and varying requirements of multiple projects
  • Representing the mechanical interests of the firm at client meetings
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, the candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • At least 10 years of licensed experience designing mechanical HVAC/plumbing systems for commercial and/or industrial buildings
  • At least 2 years of recent experience working in Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD MEP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated stable employment history
