We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at GPD Group.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a mechanical engineer with leadership experience to take on a project management role and lead our team in delivering high-quality projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in managing engineers and leading project designs.

Key responsibilities will include project management, technical design and oversight, strategic planning, client engagement and management, and mentoring and developing the team.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader, capable of performing the work while mentoring younger engineers.

They will also be responsible for analyzing project control systems, leading power and utility project designs, and working with the team to develop and execute strategic actions aligned with both the mechanical team and GPD Group goals.

Some travel may be required for building surveys, assessments, and construction administration.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Project Management: Interacting with multiple stakeholders and delivering a wide variety of services that encompass our discipline, including complete engineering design, survey, facility assessments, construction administration, site walks, and field service.
  • Technical Design and Oversight: Being a hands-on technical leader capable of performing the work while mentoring younger engineers, analyzing project control systems, and leading power and utility project designs.
  • Strategic Planning: Working with the team to develop and execute strategic actions aligned with both the mechanical team and GPD Group goals.
  • Client Engagement and Management: Developing and building programs and client relationships to grow this team, understanding clients' needs, and translating them into specific scope and reporting systems.
  • Mentoring and Developing the Team: Not only mechanical engineering and technical training but empowering those teammates to find their passion and skills in our industry and translating that to continued career success.
  • Administrative Oversight: Using Key Performance Indicators, developing, communicating, and tracking workflow tasks, scheduling, championing GPD's quality assurance and client standards, and ensuring that project documents are consistent with project plans and within scope and budget.
