Pediatric Nurse

As a Pediatric Nurse at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, you will provide direct nursing care to infants, toddlers, and children in our Pediatric Med Surg unit. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that each child receives individualized attention and care.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth transition.
- Provide education and support to families, empowering them to take an active role in their child's care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our pediatric care services.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
